Information We Collect
We may collect contact information (name, address, phone, email) when you book our services or contact us. We use this to provide trash can cleaning services and communicate with you about your appointments.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to schedule and deliver our services, send service notifications and photos, and respond to inquiries. We do not sell your personal information.
When You Delete Your ZenCan Account
You can delete your account in the customer portal or in the ZenCan iOS and Android apps under Account → Delete your account, or by sending an email to team@zencanla.com.
Data we will remove when you delete your ZenCan account
- Account access and login credentials (email, password, authentication tokens)
- Saved profile details (name, phone numbers, alternate contacts, notes, gate/garage instructions, preferences)
- Saved service data (future bookings, recurring schedules, reminders, service instructions not tied to completed jobs)
- Marketing data (email/SMS subscriptions, campaign history, segmentation tags)
- Support/chat history not required for legal, tax, or dispute purposes
- App and usage data tied to your identity (converted to anonymous/aggregated data if retained)
- Stored location details not required for past transaction records
- Any third-party marketing or analytics identifiers linked to you (where deletion is supported)
Data we will keep (minimum necessary) and why
- Transaction records (invoices, receipts, payments, refunds). Required for accounting and tax compliance (typically retained up to 3 years).
- Basic service history tied to completed paid services (date, service type, general location reference). Needed to support disputes, chargebacks, and service verification.
- Payment processor references, including the full Stripe customer ID (Stripe's identifier for your record), last 4 digits, and card brand. Required to reconcile payments and handle refunds or disputes; no full card numbers are stored.
- Legal and consent records (accepted terms, service authorizations, waiver acknowledgments if applicable). Required to demonstrate agreement and protect against legal claims.
- Dispute, fraud, and security-related records. Required to investigate issues, prevent abuse, and defend legal claims.
- Deletion request record (what was requested, when, and how it was fulfilled). Required under privacy regulations (retained for at least 24 months).
- Minimal suppression record (e.g., hashed email or phone). Ensures you are not accidentally contacted again after deletion.
All retained data is restricted, minimized, and kept only for the shortest period required to meet legal, financial, and security obligations.
